A repairer of the breach, embodying a powerful posture of prayer, fasting, and consecration for service. He’s burdened for the lost, unchurched, building the kingdom of God through innovative evangelistic initiatives connotes his purpose and description.
Bishop Mays received the miracle of salvation, confirmation, and affirmation to public ministry by the presbytery during early adolescence. He’s a visionary leader, published author, and entrepreneur edifying the body of Christ in market places. He serves as Chairman and Senior Analytics Consultant for the Coalesce Group, advocating education, character development, and ethics for urban youth of America.
He’s the organizer of Prayer Hour Ministries (1996), Prayer Table Inc. (2004), Lead Pastor at The Refinery Church (2005), consecrated to the Office of Bishop in the Lord’s Church, appointed as Chief Diocesan, and Establishmentarian of Prayer Table International Ecumenism, Belize City Northern Coast Central America (2024). He’s apt to teach, maintaining biblical integrity of Sacred text, unveiling revelatory theological principles in scripture.
He was licensed by his mentor and spiritual father, Dr. Noah Shumate, Sr., ordained as an Elder in the Church of God in Christ, Inc. June 6, 2003 by Presiding Bishop Emeritus, Charles E. Blake, Sr.
Bishop Mays is the proud father to three gifted children, Micah, Jeremy, Kristin, and godfather to Patrick Aaron Ross. A native of East Los Angeles, graduate of Morningside High School, Utah State University, California Pacific School of Theology, Cerritos College, Kairos Pacific University, and received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from United Cornerstone University, endeavoring to improve his scholarship as he travels empowering the nations.
